Prestashop in our personal opionion is probably the strongest all-round player in terms of Open Source Ecommerce platforms.

Although Prestashop does have some downsides, but nothing we cannot handle - Tried and tested work arounds.

OPENCART

Opencart is probably the best for any small to medium online shop, as its simple to operate, comes standard with many features although its designed to be kept simple, so if you are happy with an "almost" perfect solution out of the box, Opencart is definitely a contender,

Opencart has on the other hand come a long way since ZOO Media first started using it. Opencart's huge downside is its SEO flexibility, although ZOO Media have taken the time to scope out the best add-on, which does a superb job to say the least,

MAGENTO MVC

Magento is one of the Giants in terms of Ecommerce platforms, globally Magento is the most widely used Ecommerce platform, although in South Africa it's only used for the top 5% of Ecommerce stores and there are a number of reasons as to why that is the case, although the short and the long of the situation is Magento has its place, its extremely flexible and powerful although it has its draw backs, including a very complex backoffice,

ZOO Media are never afraid of a challenge and we enjoy being challenged by Magento and our client requirements to extend its functionality further and further,

WooCOMMERCE

WooCommerce, lets start by explaining that WooCommerce is an add-on for WordPress CMS system, giving you the ability to convert your information website into a fully fledged Ecommerce platform. The WordPress WooCommerce combination has quickly risen in the ranks and is extremely popular, purely due its ease of use, although its run's out of functionality steam, but that can be overcome by custom coding an add-on or buying an off-shelf add-on,

WordPress + WooCommerce has its place in the Ecommerce market for sure.
